Always the Nose

I don't even know how this one happened. I thought he was just dirty when I first saw it and even tried to wipe it off.

And here's poor Koda's scratch. It looked worse, but it was mostly healed by the time I realized I should take a picture. You'll never guess how he got it, though.

A cat gave it to him.

That's right. He saw a cat, ran up to it to play (or so I think) and the cat got scared (wouldn't you if you were a cat and a huge pit bull came running up to you?) and tried to run away, but most likely got cornered (because cats don't usually let Koda get anywhere near them). So to get away, the cat scratched him.

The sad/funny thing is, this isn't the first (or the last) time Koda's been scratched by a cat. :) This is just the one I took a picture of. And the worst he's ever done to them is make a very overweight cat climb a tree and get stuck. Poor dog.
