1 Year Old

Hadley had his first birthday at the end of March. We had two parties for him because the weather was bad and we didn't think everyone would fit inside our house comfortably. So the first party was with Curtis' family. Here's Hadley, Uncle Blake and Grandma Tubbs opening presents.
Here's me trying to keep Koda from getting up on everyone's laps and licking them. He LOVES parties.
Just being silly.
The cake I made. I'm definitely no pro, but I saw a cute idea online and changed it to this. I don't think I ever get the frosting (on cakes I make) to do what I want. Oh well, it tasted good.
Hadley with Grandpa Tubbs and Aunt Joni trying to decide what to do with the cake.
I think Adelyn was the one who actually ended up blowing out the candle.
And sharing with Koda like we told her not to.
Hadley seemed to really like the cake.
The next party was with my family and when I went to import the pictures, I realized that we almost didn't take any at all and the ones we did take don't have family in them. Oops! Here's the cake. Can you see a theme going? Funny thing is, is it wasn't on purpose!
Hadley was pretty amused by us singing to him.
He didn't want to just dig right in to this cake. He actually stayed pretty clean and didn't eat much of it. I think he had just eaten dinner. What a long couple of days!
