Low Book Sales and Heber Camp

I meant to mention something about this last week when I first heard about it.

Four years ago I took some acting and modeling classes. I thought that would be a great job that'd pay lots of money. I was very wrong, I have yet to make enough doing that stuff to even pay us back for the classes. About six months after I started taking the classes I got a job doing a commercial. For Low Book Sales. Cheesy, I know, but it's one of the few modeling/acting things I've done that have paid any money at all.

Anyway, last week my old bishop (and friend) called up to say he saw me on TV and thought it was "so cool to know someone famous!" I laughed and laughed. That was three and a half years ago, I thought they had decided the commercial sucked and threw it out, since it hadn't aired yet. Well, I was wrong, so look for me!! :) I don't speak or anything in it (they can pay you less if you don't), but if you look real close you can see my baby bump (I was three months pregnant with Adelyn and very sick when they did it). Fun stuff. Thanks for letting me know about it!

On to other things. Next week is girls' camp. It's in Heber and I'll be gone Monday through Friday. (I've never been to one this long before) My family was going to watch the kids during the day, but they're in California. Curtis' family is in Park City, so they're out too. Curtis has arranged to work from home the whole week and be a stay-at-home dad while I'm gone.

I'm very excited/nervous to see how he does. He's amazing, so I'm sure there'll be no major problems. I expect Adelyn's hair will be up in a basic barrette every day, and the kids diapers may not get changed quite as much as usual. I also expect meals to not have as many side dishes as normal. What I'm really worried about, though, is that he'll somehow be able to get so much more done than I usually do so that when I get home he'll start expecting more of me and I'll just disappoint him.

So here's hoping he has a good week... but not too good! :)

Old Friends

So both Tara and Michelle have already posted this on their blogs, but I had to as well, so I stole the pictures from them. (just so you know, guys) That's actually what I was waiting for, since I didn't take any of my own. :)

Anyway, some friends I've had forever now came and visited me on Monday.

Here we all are: Hunter (14 months - born the same day as Hadley), Tara, Josh, Hadley (14 months), me, Adelyn (3 years), Michelle and Nathan (10 months). The last time we got together Adelyn was the only kid amongst us. Crazy how time flies.

Hunter is such a doll. His mom is a photographer so the camera doesn't interest him much anymore.Adelyn didn't seem to know what to think with all these "little" kids around her, playing with "her" toys.Hadley was so much smaller than Hunter. Wow. He had less everything: teeth, hair, fat, height. Crazy.Nathan was way cute, although he seemed a little frustrated every now and then that he couldn't keep up with the others - he was their size and all, but they were walking and he isn't quite yet.

It was way fun. I hope to see them again soon.
