Gracie Jean Gledhill

http://www.thegledhillfamily.blogspot.com/

If you haven't seen this blog, you should. Gracie is 11 months old -- the same age as Hadley, and her parents have to let her go tomorrow. This is one of the saddest, most inspirational stories I've ever heard. She is so beautiful and amazing, this world it truly missing out by not getting to have her here for longer. I just couldn't let her go without saying something about her. I cried when I found out that she wasn't going to make it. I can't believe the strength her parents and siblings possess to have gone through this and my prayers will be with them as they try to make it through tomorrow and the days that will follow. They are always making comments about how much they have learned and how much they have grown spiritually from watching and caring for this cute little girl. It reminds me how lucky I am to have such healthy kids. Things could always be worse, so I'm happy to have what I have.

What a sad story. I think it is wonderful that they are going to donate her organs, but how sad that they won't be able to hold her in their arms. My heart just aches for them, even though I don't know them. She is so beautiful and sweet. Babies are so precious and circumstances can change overnight. Stories like these just make me want to snuggle my baby! I also thought it was cute/sad how her brother asked, "How long does mourning last?" Thank goodness we know that families can be eternal, but still...I can't imagine going through that and I hope I never have to!
