Four years ago I took some acting and modeling classes. I thought that would be a great job that'd pay lots of money. I was very wrong, I have yet to make enough doing that stuff to even pay us back for the classes. About six months after I started taking the classes I got a job doing a commercial. For Low Book Sales. Cheesy, I know, but it's one of the few modeling/acting things I've done that have paid any money at all.
Anyway, last week my old bishop (and friend) called up to say he saw me on TV and thought it was "so cool to know someone famous!" I laughed and laughed. That was three and a half years ago, I thought they had decided the commercial sucked and threw it out, since it hadn't aired yet. Well, I was wrong, so look for me!! :) I don't speak or anything in it (they can pay you less if you don't), but if you look real close you can see my baby bump (I was three months pregnant with Adelyn and very sick when they did it). Fun stuff. Thanks for letting me know about it!
On to other things. Next week is girls' camp. It's in Heber and I'll be gone Monday through Friday. (I've never been to one this long before) My family was going to watch the kids during the day, but they're in California. Curtis' family is in Park City, so they're out too. Curtis has arranged to work from home the whole week and be a stay-at-home dad while I'm gone.
I'm very excited/nervous to see how he does. He's amazing, so I'm sure there'll be no major problems. I expect Adelyn's hair will be up in a basic barrette every day, and the kids diapers may not get changed quite as much as usual. I also expect meals to not have as many side dishes as normal. What I'm really worried about, though, is that he'll somehow be able to get so much more done than I usually do so that when I get home he'll start expecting more of me and I'll just disappoint him.
So here's hoping he has a good week... but not too good! :)

I wish I lived in Utah so I could look for you in the commercials, my famous friend! :) That's funny that you are scared that Curtis will be able to get a ton done and will wonder what you do all day - haha. I have a feeling that when you get home, he'll be super impressed that you are able to keep the house clean, do Adelyn's hair amazingly, and smile while watching your two kids all day :) Have fun at girl's camp!
I told my Mom to watch for you, and when I am in UT soon, I will look for your commercial also. I hope you're having fun at Girl's Camp. That's nice that you worry that Curtis won't do more than a barrette in Adelyn's hair or as many side dishes. :) Cole's a great husband, but the few days I've been away, the kids wear PJ's all day and live off of graham crackers and PB&J. :)
LOL - I totally get what you mean, hoping he has a good, but not too good, of a week. Anthony is such an awesome multi-tasker, that he always gets more housework done when he is home with them but not me. He is cool with letting the kids just play and entertain themselves, usually shut in the twin's room all together, and digs in to the dishes that are always there, just waiting for SOMEONE to notice them. Oh, well. :)
Good luck with girls camp. That does sound like a long girls camp. Elise, I can't imagine you not doing an "A" job on anything. So I can only assume you are a super Mom and that Curtis thinks you are too. Although, I think I would worry too that Mark would do a better job than I do.
Anyway, have fun at camp.
Plus, that is awesome you are on TV. I guess now I can brag to everyone that I know someone famous. That is awesome. Now I really want to see the commercial.
Sounds like fun... a whole week! you are back in yw's huh? What is your calling? By the way,thanks...for calling our neighborhood the 'ghetto'. Some of us like it here.
I think I found your commercial online! hahaha! You look so happy to be buying a car :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxKSoQLcy4A&feature=player_embedded 4 seconds in, is that YOU?!
Ya know, I saw that commercial and told Curtis that it looked like you. Now I know it was. How funny!
